Obituary for Edward W. Morgan, Sr.
Edward W. Morgan, Sr., 82, of Pottsville passed away on Saturday morning at Manor Care, Pottsville. Born in Pottsville, he was the son of Florence (Smith) and Clarence Morgan. He attended Pottsville schools and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Edward was employed by Arrow International, West Reading and Wyomissing, for 25 years as a needle grinder and retired in 1992. He belonged to the Steelworkers Union. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John. Edward is survived by his sons: Edward W. Morgan, Jr., of Pottsville and David Morgan, husband of Ruthie, of Eagle Rock; and daughters: Linda, wife of Tom Ladson, of Eagle Rock and Dorothy Morgan, of Cressona; brother, Joseph Morgan, of Llewlyn; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held at Mount Peace Cemetery, Minersville on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Lord-Bixler Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
