Obituary for Douglas L. Dreher

Douglas L. Dreher, 59, of Pottsville, passed away unexpectedly on October 24th at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill E. Norwegian Street, Pottsville.


Born in Pottsville, on June 24, 1963, he was a son of Judith N. (Kapschock) and the late Joseph Edward Dreher, Sr.


He attended Blue Mountain High School.


Doug was raised in the Lutheran faith.


He worked as a forklift driver at Draka Cable for 31 years.


In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching Nascar.


In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph E. Jr. and his maternal grandmother, Beatrice Kapschock.


Doug is survived by three sisters, Sandi L. Dreher, companion of Randy Azbell, of Pottsville; Jodi A. DeLeon , wife of Alvin , of Pottsville; Sherri L. Rosado, wife of Pedro, of Schuylkill Haven;

two brothers, Louis J. Dreher, of Pottsville; David W. Dreher, Sr., companion of Bonnie Roshannon, of Minersville; nieces: Candice Sisko, of CO; Alyssa DeLeon, of Pottsville; nephews: David Dreher, Jr., companion of Rebecca, of Pottsville; Cameron Williams, of NY; Chey Jones, husband of Emily, of NJ; Aaron DeLeon, of Pottsville; and Nathan Dreher, of Minersville.


A memorial service will be held on Friday evening at 6:30p.m. at Lord-Bixler Funeral Home, Inc., 1818 Mahantongo St., Pottsville with Pastor Chris Rothharpt officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until time of service.
