Obituary for Dale R. Klemer
Dale R. Klemer, 66, of Pottsville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday evening in his residence.
Born in Pottsville, on June 20, 1950, he was the son of Edith (McClure) and the late John Klemer.
Dale was a 1968 graduate of Pottsville High School and attended Moravian Prep School and Kutztown University.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
Dale worked as a machinist at Shalmet Corporation, a division of Carpenter Technology, Deer Lake, retiring in 2011.
He was extremely passionate about all kinds of sports and enjoyed living life and having fun.
In addition to his father, Dale was preceded in death by a son, John Klemer in 1995; and a sister, Marlene.
Dale is survived by his daughter, Adrienne Schreffler, wife of Scott, of Pottsville; grandchildren: Ryan and Dylan; mother, Edith Klemer; sister, Carol; brother, Scott; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 12th at 6:00 p.m. at Lord-Bixler Funeral Home,
1818 Mahantongo St., Pottsville.
Interment with military honors will be private at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
