Obituary for Theresa M. Gruber
Theresa M Gruber,92, of Pottsville passed away peacefully on Friday Morning Sept. 11 in Manor Care. ��Born in Pottsville on Nov. 14,1922, she was the daughter of the late Henry C. and Helena (Hellenthal) Gruber. Theresa was a graduate of Pottsville High School and a member of St. John The Baptist R.C. Church, Pottsville. She was also a member of the Schuylkill Co. Council of the Arts, a Past President of the Allied Artists of Schuylkill Co., Board of Directors Legal Aid Society and Board of Directors Economic Opportunity Cabinet. Through the years Theresa was a self employed seamstress and in her spare time enjoyed gardening and bowling. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sisters Rita Mendinsky and Catherine Hunter. She is survived by a sister; Sister Marie Gruber of Dallas PA; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. ��A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated on Wednesday Sept. 16 at 11am in St. John The Baptist R.C. Church, 913 Mahantongo St., Pottsville with Rev. David J. Loeper officiating. A viewing will be held in Lord-Bixler Funeral Home inc ,1818 Mahantongo St., Pottsville on Wednesday morning from 9:30 am until the procession will leave for church. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery #2, Pottsville. ��The family requests contributions in Theresa's memory be sent to the Allied Artists of Schuylkill County, P.O.
