Obituary for Scott M. Bevan
Scott M. Bevan, 55, of Pottsville passed away unexpectedly in his residence on Wednesday morning. Born in Pottsville on August 31, 1958, he was the son of Nancy J. (Reilly) and the late James R. Bevan. Scott is a member of St. Patrick R.C.C., Pottsville. He is a 1976 graduate of Pottsville High School. Scott also attended Stevens Trade School. He loved being in the outdoors where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Scott was the recipient of a kidney transplant on June 8, 2007. He was preceded in death by his father, James R. Bevan in 1972. In addition to his mother, Scott is survived by his companion, Christine A. MacAdam, of Pottsville; sister, Laurie J., wife of John Marshall, of Center Valley; brothers: Mark D. Bevan, of Orwigsburg; Jeffrey N. Bevan, of Centennial, CO; David A. and Brian R. Bevan, both of Pottsville; and12 nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 3rd at 3:30 p.m. at Lord-Bixler Funeral Home, Inc, 1818 Mahantongo St., Pottsville. Interment in Calvary Cemetery will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions in Scott's memory be sent to Gift of Life, 401 N. 3rd St., Philadelphia, PA 19103. Lord-Bixler Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
