Obituary for Sarah "Sally" Blew
Sarah "Sally" Blew, 79, of Pottsville, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning in her residence.
Born in Pottsville , on April 11, 1943 , she was the daughter of the late Charles R. and Bessie K. ( Moffit) Williams.
She attended Pottsville High School.
In her earlier years, Sarah worked at B&J Knitters and then was a clerk for the Schoeneman Corporation, Pottsville.
She enjoyed doing crafts, but most of all spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood L. "Red" Blew, on March 25, 2015, to whom she was married 53 years; sisters: Shirley Bradley and Grace Cody; brothers: Charles Jr., Donald , and Philip Williams.
Sarah is survived by two daughters, Denise A., wife of Andrew Pope, Sr., of Pottsville; Beth A. Blew, of Pottsville; grandchildren: Lauren E. Zimmerman, wife of Ryan, of Schuylkill Haven, Leslie A. Pope, of Allentown; Andrew R. Pope, Jr., husband of Michelle, of Houston, Texas; great grandchildren: Rylyn and Lena Zimmerman; sister, Audrey Hawk, of Pottsville; sister-in-law, Janice Blew, Barnesville; and several nieces and nephews.
Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
