Obituary for Sarah E. Wilson
Sarah E. Wilson, 86, of Pottsville, passed away on Thursday evening in Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.
Born in Pottsville, on April 19, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Helene (Yost) and James J. Gibbs.
She was a member of St. Patrick R.C.C., Pottsville and of the former St. Ambrose R.C. Church.
Sarah spent her life as a homemaker taking care of her family. She especially loved listening to Tom Jones and Elvis.
Sarah was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Port Carbon
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald F. Wilson in 1987 to whom she was married 40 years; daughter: Helena Becker; infant son, John; granddaughter, Denise Watkins; brothers: James and Paul Gibbs; sisters: Anna Fey and Rita Galasky.
Sarah is survived by a daughter, Susan, wife of David Zeginfuse, of Ashland; three sons Keith, husband of Kim Wilson, of Schuylkill Haven; Ronald J. Wilson, of Mt. Carmel; Stephen, husband of Carol Wilson, of Ashland; grandchildren: Stephen Wilson, Ronald Wilson, Adam Wilson, Andrea Watkins, Ashley Wilson, Tonya Ebling, Tiffany Price, Brandi Heck, Kelly Ortiz, Cody Mullins, Lacye Mullins, Christopher and James Becker; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 20th at 11:00 a.m. at Lord-Bixler Funeral Home, Inc., 1818 Mahantongo St., Pottsville. A viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in St. Patrick #3 Cemetery, Pottsville.
