Richard C. Frantz Sr., 81, of Auburn, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023, in Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Coaldale, on March 13, 1942, he was a son of the late Leon W. and Sara R (Gover) Frantz.
Richard graduated from Lehighton High School and then proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.
He spent his professional career in sales for insurance and real estate.
In his retirement Richard loved golfing, watching all types of sporting events, spending time in Myrtle Beach, and time by the pool with his family. Richard was a true pet lover until his last days even caring for every stray cat he came across. Richard also spent the last twenty-five years deeply involved in and committed to his G.A. family.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his brother, William L. Frantz, and his great-granddaughter, Thea M. Snyder.
He is survived by two daughters, Michelle C. Snyder and husband, Kevin R, of Hamburg, PA, and Sandra L. Krafczek and husband, Jan D., of Delray Beach, FL; a son, Richard C Frantz Jr. and wife, Ginger H., of Clearwater, FL; his brother, George T. Frantz and wife, Rose, of Andreas. Richard was also blessed with five grandchildren; Ashley E. Conrad, Joshua R. Snyder, Alex S. Frantz, Natalie M. Frantz, and Victoria R Mosco; five great-grandchildren; Carson, Rowan, Mila, Rosalie, Leona; and several nieces and nephew. Richard is also survived by his partner of 8 years, Betty J. Jones, of Auburn.
A visitation with Richard's family will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at The Bridge Church, 3561 Old U.S. 22, Hamburg. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mark Caston officiating.
Interment with military honors will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Road, Annville.
