Obituary for Remo Piccioni
Remo Piccioni, 94 of Pottsville passed away on Saturday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital East Norwegian, Pottsville, Pa.
Born in Pottsville on Nov. 25, 1927, he was the son of the late Emidio and Rosaria (Sansoni), Piccioni
.
He was a 1945 graduate of Pottsville Area High School and a long time member of the Former St. Joseph R.C.C. and now St. Patrick R.C.C.
Remo proudly served his country in the U.S.Army during WWII.
Through the years he was a masonry worker and cement finisher as
a member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Union Local #5.
In addition to his parents, Remo was preceeded in death by his 5 sisters; Mary Carusella, Pasqualina Piccioni, Olimbia Spleen, Anna Antonucci and Gloria Visnefski; 6 brothers. Joseph Piccioni, Victor Piccioni, Ignazio Piccioni, Mark Piccioni, Norman Piccioni and Nazarano Piccioni.
Remo is survived by 6 daughters; Lisa Walsh of Palo Alto, Diane Piccioni Rich of Orwigsburg, Elaine P. Higdon of State College, Roseanna wife of Edward Brennan of Pottsville, Gina Piccioni, DDS of Chicago Ill., and Brenda A Piccioni of Pottsville.; 1 son Remo husband of Deborah Piccioni of Saint Clair. He also had 10 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren and several neices and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Saturday July 16, at St Patrick R.C.C. with Father Phil Rodgers as celebrant. A viewing will be held in church from 9:30 until time of service.
Interment with military honors will follow in St Joseph Cemetery, Pottsville.
