Obituary for Michael B. Wiscount Sr.
Michael B. Wiscount, Sr., 66, of Tremont, passed away on Tuesday in Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest, Allentown.
Born in Pottsville, he was the son of the late Joseph C. and Elizabeth A. (Linn) Wiscount.
Michael is a graduate of Pine Grove Area High School. He was of the Catholic faith.
He worked at Lehigh Valley Dairy as a milk processor for 36 years, retiring in 2008.
Michael enjoyed carpentry and woodworking , but most of all spending time with his grandson, Zachary.
In addition to his parents, Michael is preceded in death by his son, Michael B. Wiscount Jr. in 2014; brothers: Robert "Pete" and Joseph Wiscount.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl A. (Penberth) to whom he was married 46 years; grandson, Zachary; daughter-in-law, Berthilla "B" Wiscount, of Philadelphia; brothers: Carl Wiscount, of Minersville and William, husband of Yvonne, of Minersville; sisters: Cindy Conway, widow of Mike, of Branchdale; Judy Cleary, wife of Tom, of Tremont; Cheryl "Chip" Mack, wife of Laine, of Tremont; Bonnie Ege, of Schuylkill Haven; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 13th at 11:00 a.m. at Lord-Bixler Funeral Home, Inc., 1818 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, with Deacon Larry Lonergan officiating. A viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home.
Interment will be private.
