Obituary for Mary Jane LeBlanc
Mary Jane LeBlanc, 76, of Pottsville, passed away Saturday, January 16th, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Reading, surrounded by family. Born on October 29, 1939, she was the daughter of Olive (Stoyer) and Joseph P. Minchhoff. Following the death of her mother shortly after her birth, Mary, along with several siblings and a cousin were raised by their aunt Marguerite Minchhoff. Mary Jane graduated from Nativity B.V.M. High School. She was a lifelong member of St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Pottsville where she was united in marriage to Joseph R. LeBlanc on October 29, 1960. In addition to her husband of 55 years, Mary is survived by her children: Marguerite LeBlanc, wife of Ray, of Raleigh, NC; Bernice LeBlanc, of Clayton, NC; Suzanne Rayfield, wife of Edward, of Pottsville; and Marcel LeBlanc, husband of Melissa, of Pine Grove. Mary Jane will be greatly missed by her 10 grandchildren and great granddaughter: Devan, Corey and Kurtis Yesavage, Samantha, Miranda and Milinda Gibble, Abbie and Matthew Johnson, Mallory and Marcel LeBlanc, and Kyrah Joy. Mary is also survived by her twin sister, Margaret C. Pauly; a brother, James Minchhoff; cousin, Rita Minchhoff Lotz and a large extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews in Pennsylvania and Canada. She was preceded in death by seven siblings and her son-in-law, Ray Johnson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 26th at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 913 Mahantongo St., Pottsville with Rev. David J. Loeper officiating. A viewing will be held in the church on Monday evening from 5-7:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of Mass. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Mary Jane's name to the St. John the Baptist Memorial Fund. Lord-Bixler Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
