Obituary for Marilyn G. Minchhoff
Marilyn G. Minchhoff, 85, of Pottsville, passed away unexpectedly in her residence on Wednesday morning. Born in Pottsville on June 23, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Dorothea (Keating) and Edmund Phillips. She was a 1947 graduate of Pottsville High School, a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Pottsville, and a member of the former Mary Queen of Peace Church. Marilyn spent her life as a homemaker. She most loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Carl Jr. and a daughter, Maureen. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Carl W. Minchhoff, Sr. to whom she was married 54 years; daughter, Nannette C. Leganza, wife of Thomas, of Pine Grove; sons: Anthony M. Minchhoff, husband of Lynn, of Parryville, PA; Christopher F. Minchhoff, husband of Deb, of Tamaqua, PA; Lamar M. Minchhoff, husband of Margaret, of Pottsville; grandchildren: Carla L., Christine, Melissa, Tommy, Matthew, Elizabeth, Michael, Carly, and Mark; and two great-grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, December 1st at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, 913 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, PA with Father David J. Loeper officiating. Interment will follow in St. John #2 Cemetery, Pottsville. The family request contributions in Marilyn's memory be sent to St. John the Baptist Church.
