Obituary for Margaret Connors
Margaret Connors, 80, of Pottsville passed away on Thursday evening at Schuylkill Medical Center East Norwegian Street. Born in Phoenix Park, on September 16, 1934, she was a daughter of the late John and Elsie (Sharp) Dullard. She was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. Margaret attended Minersville High School. In her earlier years she worked at Costas Candies and also, as a domestic worker at local businesses, which included Lord Funeral Home. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard J. Connors Sr.; son, John "Jack" Connors and daughter, Bernadine Gordon; brother, John R. Dullard Jr., and sister, Helen Weiner. Margaret is survived by two sons: Joseph B., husband of Judy Connors, of Pottsville; Bernard, husband of Terri Connors Jr., of Orwigsburg; three sisters, Catherine Geiger, of Pottsville; Patricia Ditzler, of Pottsville; Ethel Chistakoff, of Branchdale; sister-in-law, Kathleen Schweikert, of Pottsville; grandchildren; Jason, Melissa, Adam, Shelby, Matt, J.T., Madison, Megan; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 8th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 319 Mahantongo St., Pottsville. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 7th, 6-8:00 p.m. and Wednesday 9:30 a.m. until the procession leaves for church at Lord-Bixler Funeral Home, Inc., 1818 Mahantongo St., Pottsville.
