Obituary for Linda E. DeAngeles
Linda E. DeAngeles, 80, of Pottsville, passed away on Monday afternoon in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill East Norwegian.
Born in Atlantic City, NJ on October 4, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Jacob and Anna (Stone) Wentzel.
She was a 1954 graduate of Pottsville Catholic High School and also 2 years of lab technican training at Pottsville Hospital . And she was a lifetime member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville.
Linda worked as a lab technican for 10 years and a switchboard operator for 24 years at the former Good Sam Hospital, retiring in 2012.
She enjoyed traveling, especially to Stone Harbor and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Anthony J., in 2010; brother, John ; and sister, Patricia.
She is survived by her husband, Peter J. DeAngeles, to whom she was married 56 years; a daughter, Christine A. MacAdams, of Pottsville; a son, David A. DeAngeles, of Lancaster; daughter-in-law, Debra DeAngeles, of Northampton ; grandchildren: Amanda and Jacob; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 26th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 319 Mahantongo St., Pottsville. A visitation with the family will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service in the church.
Interment will follow in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville.
