Justina M. Mitchell, 90, of Pottsville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning in her residence.
Born in Saint Clair, on April 19, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Justina (Demanovich) Motto.
She was a 1949 graduate of Pottsville High School and a member of St. John the Baptist Church.
Justina was a homemaker most of her life, but in her younger years she worked for Sears Roebuck & Co. and the Raring Card Shop.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard C. Mitchell, Sr., August 30, 1981, and to whom she was married 28 years; and sister, Marie Asaif.
Justina is survived by a son, Howard C. Mitchell, Jr., of Pottsville; nephews: Thomas Asaif, husband of Beverly, of Marysville, WA and Joseph Asaif, husband of Carla Aronica, of Carnation, WA.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on December 7th at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 913 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, with Pastor Rev. Kevin Bobbin officiating.
Interment is private at the convenience of the family.
