John E. Buch, 79, of Pottsville passed away on Monday morning in Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.
Born in Worthington, Ohio, on October 17, 1937, he was a son of the late Mildred (Lawless) and John W. Buch.
He was a 1955 graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School and was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Pottsville, where he was an active member of the church choir and also taught Sunday School in years past.
John's creativity in both mind and spirit always added to one's enjoyment of time shared with him. His soft spoken voice and amazing smile would beckon you to stop and pause awhile, as he would share engaging words of faith, art, music and much more.
John proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
Through the years, he was self-employed and worked as a handyman.
John is survived by cousin: LaDonna Wagstaff; 2nd cousins: Marilyn Lawless, Thomas Lawless, Michael Lawless, Rick Lawless, Susan Lawless, Jeff Lawless, Jim Wagstaff, and Linda Lombardo; friend and caregiver, Ellen Hildreth, of Pottsville.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 4th at 12 p.m. noon at United Presbyterian Church, 214 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, with Pastor Sue Marie Baskette officiating.
