Obituary for Jean M. Gretsky
Jean M. Gretsky, 89, of Pottsville, passed away at Schuylkill Center on Saturday morning.
Born in Pottsville on June 25, 1926 she was the daughter of the late Margaret (O'Boyle)
and Edward Kelly.
She was a graduate of Pottsville Catholic High School.
Jean was a member of St. Patrick R.C.C. and of St. Patrick's Senior Club, Pottsville.
Jean was an AT&T telephone operator for over 20 years and also worked in the Sears Catalog Department, where she retired in 1981.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph,
in January 2000 and to whom she was married for 42 years; brother, Thomas Kelly;
and sister, Eileen Leary.
Jean is survived by daughters: Karen Berdanier, of Pottsville and Joanne Gretsky-Polak,
wife of Michael, of Auburn; grandson, Jonathan Berdanier; brother, Edward Kelly,
of Hershey; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville.
