Obituary for Gayle H. Brahler
Gayle H. Brahler, 80, of Pottsville, passed away peacefully on Sunday at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.
Born in Phillipsburg, NJ, on May 28, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Gladys (Grainer) Dick. Gayle was raised and adopted by her aunt and uncle, Bill and Jane Dick, after the passing of her mother.
She worked for the State of NJ in the Fish, Game, and Wildlife Department as a clerk, retiring in 2002.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Dick.
Gayle is survived by her husband, Richard G. Brahler; three daughters, Elizabeth Ann "Liz" Schock, widow of David, of Concord, NH; Mary C. Sperling, wife of Kenneth, of Birmingham, MI; and Amy D. Miller, companion of Michael Wollyung, of Auburn; two sons: Richard G. Brahler Jr., husband of Patricia, of Bethlehem; and Michael W. Brahler, husband of Amanda, of Jenkintown; brother, Daniel Dick, husband of Sally, of Nazareth; grandchildren: Marlena, Jay, Brandon, Zachary, Stella, Sabrina, Luke, Josiah, Blake, Max, and Isabel; great grandchildren: Arianna, Aubrey, and Ben; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 7th at 11:00 a.m. at Lord-Bixler Funeral Home, Inc., 1818 Mahantongo St., Pottsville. A visitation with the family will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.
Interment will follow in St. John #2 Cemetery, Pottsville.
