Obituary for Esther Thomas
Esther Thomas, 93, of Pottsville, passed away on Tuesday morning at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville. Born in Easton, on February 18, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Gertrude (Dreath) and Frank Quattrociocchi. She worked at Cressona Knitting for 35 years. In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Thomas; daughter, Tammy Perambo; brothers: Frank, Pete, and Louis Quattrociocchi; sisters: Alice Borrell, Stella Brown, Lucy Hutchings, Patsy Fessler, and Betty Bonan. Esther is survived by a daughter, Sandra L., wife of Barry Jacoby, of Minersville; a son, Walter E. Thomas, of Pottsville; grandchildren: Krysta Burges, Shauna Ross, Reed Bogash, Brandon Volashin, Joshua and Jason Jacoby; Courtney and Jonathan Perambo; great grandchildren: Gabriel and Lillian Jacoby; Mia and Nora Burges; Theo and Hailey Bogash; and Josephine Ross; two sisters, Catherine Schaeffer and Dorothy Pauley; brother, John Quattrociocchi; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 20th at 11:00 a.m. at Lord-Bixler Funeral Home, Inc., 1818 Mahantongo St., Pottsville. A viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home. Interment in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven will be private at the convenience of the family.
