Obituary for Elaine Gail Neistadt
Elaine Gail Neistadt passed away Sunday afternoon at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest, Allentown.
Born in Pottsville on September 28, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Mynne (Miller) and Jack Edelson.
In her younger years she was a member of Oheb Zedeck Synagogue, Pottsville.
Gail graduated from Pottsville High School.
She was a homemaker for most of her life and when her children were older she worked at Frederick Neistadt Optometry, which was her family's business.
She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Neistadt in 2010.
Gail is survived by a daughter, Allyson Gorman, of Hinsdale, IL; 5 grandchildren; and a brother, Bruce Edelson.
Funeral services will be held today, Tuesday, September 13th at 11:00 a.m. at Lord-Bixler Funeral Home, Inc., 1818 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, PA with Rabbi Melody Davis officiating.
Interment will follow in Tifereth Israel Cemetery, Mt. Carmel.
