Obituary for Edward W. Dixon
Edward W. Dixon, 44, of Baltimore, MD and formerly of Pottsville, passed away unexpectedly on April 22nd in Los Angeles, CA, while on a business trip.

This wild child was born on October 3, 1976, to the late Edward and Cheryl Dixon who survives him in Pine Grove.

Eddie was a 1994 graduate of Pottsville Area High School. He started working for Hexcel Corporation in St. Clair then moved to Baltimore, Maryland, where he worked at machine shops, which would lead him to his ultimate career of working for NASA out of the Goddard Space Center in Maryland.

In addition to his mother, Eddie is survived by his brother, Jamie and his wife, Korin; nieces, Addison and Anna; and Goddaughter, Emily Fetterman.

He was a loving uncle and Godfather to these beautiful girls, always making time to play Minecraft, teach them about space, or just being "Crazy Uncle Eddie".

Eddie truly loved life and was able to travel the world and he was so proud of his career. He was very big into music. He loved Mopars, especially his Dodge Challenger (Charlene). He truly was the life of the party and was loved by many. If there was a saying that Eddie would leave with us it is "Enjoy the music and don't sweat the small stuff."

Funeral services will be on Sunday, May 2nd at 3:00 p.m. at Lord-Bixler Funeral Home, Inc., 1818 Mahantongo St., Pottsville. A viewing will be held from 2:00 p.m. until time of service in the funeral home.

Interment in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven will be private.

Lord-Bixler Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.

Online condolences may be expressed at lordbixler.com.
