Obituary for Edward B. Holota
Edward B. Holota, 88, of New Ringgold, and formerly of Northampton, passed away on Monday morning in Schuylkill Medical Center East Norwegian, Pottsville. Born in Northampton, on April 13, 1926, he was the son of the late Stella (Kotch) and John S. Holota. Edward proudly served his country retiring from the Air Force in 1966 and was a part of the original Army Air Choir and enjoyed his 48 year retirement. He also worked as a Knitting Machine Operator at Dearborne Inc. for many years. Edward was a life member of the Lappawinzo Fish & Game, of Northampton; a founding and charter member of VFW Post 4714; and a member of the American Legion Post 899, of Walnutport. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: Stephen A. and Arthur D. Holota. Edward is survived by two sons: Steven Holota, of New Ringgold; Edward Pahula, of Whitehall; sister, Pauline Longenhagen, of Coplay; brother, Ronald Holota, of Catasauqua; grandchildren: Autumn and Delaney; and several nieces and nephews.
