Obituary for Dorothy Golin Ross
Dorothy Golin Ross, 92, of Pottsville, passed away peacefully in Schuylkill Center, Pottsville, on July 4th.
Born in Pottsville, on June 19, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Sophie (Wachter) Weiner.
She was a graduate of Pottsville High School and a member of Oheb Zedeck Synagogue.
Dottie was a hostess at the former Pottsville Club for 15+ years, retiring in 2003.
She enjoyed playing bridge and Mahjong.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis "Frank" Ross, to whom she was married 10 years; first husband, Jerome "Babe" Golin, in 1973 and to whom she was married 25 years; and sisters: Alice Schneider and Lorraine Forman.
Dottie is survived by sons: Martin Golin, husband of Susan, of Quakertown; Steven Golin, husband of Debra, of East Brunswick, NJ; and Frederick Golin, of Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren: Abby, Jeffrey, Jonathan, and Stacie; a great-granddaughter, Ellie; sister, Phyllis Field, of Pottsville; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be on Thursday, July 7th, at 11:00 a.m. at Oheb Zedeck Cemetery, Pottsville, with Rabbi Seth Phillips officiating.
