Obituary for Doris I. Rosenberger
Doris I. Rosenberger, 78, of Pottsville, passed away on Saturday evening in her residence surrounded by her family.
Born in Pottsville, on January 1, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Irene (Yeich) and Arthur Lengel.
She was a homemaker for most of her life.
Doris enjoyed taking trips to the beach and casino and going to fairs, winefests, and bingo.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Rosenberger Sr., on June 11, 2010, and to whom she was married 48 years.
Doris is survived by two daughters, Sharon L. Wilson, of Pottsville; Susan J. Rosenberger, of Pottsville. four sons, John R. Rosenberger Jr., husband of Mary, of Leesport; Paul M. Rosenberger, husband of Shannon, of Pottsville; Michael D. Rosenberger, husband of Anne, of Muhlenberg Township; Mark L. Rosenberger, husband of Brooke, of Pottsville; grandchildren: Tyler J., Kathryn M., Elizabeth A., Daniel M., Matthew J., Michaela, Julia, Allison J. and Jacob J. Rosenberger, and Dylan M. and Ronald Wilson III; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Lee Lengel, husband of Ann, of Orwigsburg; and two nieces, Sheena Ahlmer and Shannon Lengel.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 20th at 11:00 a.m. at Lord-Bixler Funeral Home, Inc., 1818 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, with Pastor Josh Hartman officiating. A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service in the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville.
