Obituary for Claude A. Lord
Claude A. Lord, 59, of Pottsville, passed away unexpectedly on Monday evening in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Pottsville, on September 9, 1959, he was a son of the late G. Ryland and Katherine E. (Hildebrand) Lord.

He was a 1978 graduate of Pottsville High School and a member of St. Patrick R.C. Church, Pottsville.

Claude was a maintenance worker for the Schuylkill County Housing Authority for over 30 years and currently was a self-employed maintenance worker.

Claude was a member of Minersville Firehouse Bikers Club, a former member of Camp Irem Hunting Club, and a former member of Humane Fire Company.

He most enjoyed his family, hunting, motorcycles, playing pool and darts, and watching the Eagles and Penn State football games.

In addition to his mother, Claude is survived by two sisters, Marilyn Dragna, of Pottsville; Kathy Lord, of Houston, Texas; two brothers, C. Ryland Lord, husband of Carolyn, of Pottsville; Harry Lord, husband of Debbie, of Auburn; his loving companion, Donna (Fees) Boland, of Port Carbon; close family friend, Richard Lutz, of Harrisburg; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 22nd, at 11:00 a.m. at Lord-Bixler Funeral Home, Inc, 1818 Mahantongo St., Pottsville with Father Leo Maletz officiating. A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

The family request contributions in Claude's memory be sent to: Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 555 Croton Rd., Suite 111, King of Prussia, PA 19406, which was very dear to his heart and the Schuylkill EMS Inc., 320 N. 9th St., Pottsville, PA 17901.
