Obituary for Carolyn R. Pope
Carolyn R Pope, 91 of Pottsville passed away on Sunday morning in Manor Care Nursing Home, Pottsville. ��Born in Pottsville, August 11, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Herman G. and Caroline Lebengood Rhoads. Carolyn was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Pottsville. She graduated from Pottsville High School class of 1942. She was also a graduate of Syracuse University and a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. Mrs Pope is survived by her husband of 64 years, Spencer "Pete" Pope. Also surviving are four sons: Spencer III ,of Auburn; James, of Auburn: Andrew, husband of Denise, of Pottsville; and Bill, husband of Kris, of Pottsville. Carolyn has 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Charles Baber Cemetery, Pottsville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Carolyn's memory be sent to Pottsville Salvation Army, 400 Sanderson St Pottsville, PA or The United Presbyterian Church, 214 Mahantongo St. Pottsville Pa 17901. �� Lord- Bixler Funeral Home Inc is in charge of arrangements.��
