Obituary for Arlene Lupkin
Arlene Lupkin, 91, of Pottsville passed away on Thursday eveing surrounded by her loving family. Born in Pottsville, on August 14, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Roy J. and Katherine (Keen) Fox. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville. Arlene worked at Boltz Knitting Mills and the Pottsville Shirt Factory and retired in 1987. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, and friend and enjoyed spending time with her family. She also loved animals. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Laurence B. Lupkin to whom she was married for 10 years; sisters: Betty Ladden, Doris Fisher, Erma Ebling, Helen Sophy, Catherine Wallauer, and Joan Williams; brothers: John and James Fox. Arlene is survived by three daughters, Donna L. Lupkin, of Pottsville; Deborah L. wife of Daniel Kane, of Pottsville; Jacqueline M. Lupkin, of Pottsville; a sister, Patricia Fox, of Pottsville; four grandchildren: Jeremy Lupkin, Gretchen Gibas, Jim Lupkin, Kelsey Kane; 5 great-granchildren: Christa, Jackie, Sammie, Jade, and Braeleigh; and several nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog, Farrash. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 23rd at 1:00 p.m. at Lord-Bixler Funeral Home, Inc., Pottsville, with Pastor Peggy Sue Pfeffer officiating. A viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time the service. Interment will follow in Mt. Laurel Cemetery, Pottsville.
