Obituary for Anna M. Wychunas

Anna M. Wychunas, 84, of Pottsville, passed away peacefully on Sunday at Rest Haven, Schuylkill Haven. Born in Pottsville, on May 18, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Domenica (Borga) and Nathan DePauli. She attended Pottsville High School and was a member of St. Partick R.C.C, Pottsville and a former member of Mary Queen of Peace. Anna worked as a homemaker where she devoted her whole life to her family. She was a member of Knights of Lithuania. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband, Vincent C. Wychunas on December 7, 2008, and to whom she was married for 60 years; daughter, Joline M. Wychunas in 2002; brothers: James, Nathan, and Louis DePauli; sisters: Louise Oettl and Josephine Devlin. Anna is survived by two daughters, Carol A., wife of Lewis Charlesworth, of Minersville; Ann Marie, wife of Stuart Martin, of Pottsville; a son,Vincent P. , husband of Lynn Wychunas, of Pottsville; 1 grandson: Stephen Stoppie and 2 granddaughters: Stacie Stoppie and Lauren Wychunas; two great grandchildren: Jamie and Jarett McCabe; sisters: Marie Micka, of Pottsville and Laura Danatzko, of New Jersey; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 9th at 11:00 a.m. in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 319 Mahantongo St., Pottsville. A viewing will be held on Sunday evening at Lord-Bixler Funeral Home, Inc., 1818 Mahantongo St., Pottsville from 6-8:00 p.m.. and on Monday at 9:30 a.m. until the procession will leave for church. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville.
