Ann T. "Nancy" DeAngeles, 95, of Pottsville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday afternoon, November 26th, at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville, with her family by her side.
Born in Pottsville, on August 22, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Elizabeth (Canfield) Reddington.
She was a member of the former Mary Queen of Peace Church, where she was very active and past secretary of the Ladies Guild. She was presently a member of St. Patrick's Church in Pottsville.
Nancy was a graduate of Pottsville Catholic High School.
She was a secretary at the P & R and helped to run the family grocery store; in addition to being a homemaker and great cook and baker.
Nancy loved her family and most enjoyed attending her grandsons' sporting events.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William M. "Bange" DeAngeles, in December 2020, and to whom she was married 65 years; siblings, Jean Reddington, Frances Reddington Margle, Catherine Farrell, Rita McCaffrey, Elizabeth Reddington, Ellen Martin, the Rev. Benjamin Reddington, James Reddington, John Reddington and Thomas Reddington.
Nancy is survived by sons: Peter T., companion of Alicia Watson, of Pottsville; William M. Jr., husband of Kathleen, of Pottsville; daughter, Patricia A. Holanchock, wife of Howard, of Lake Wynonah; grandchildren: Stephen and Nicholas; great grandchildren: Ace and Willa Mae; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 2nd, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick R.C.C., 319 Mahantongo St., Pottsville with Father Phil Rodgers officiating. A viewing will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. at Lord-Bixler Funeral Home, Inc., 1818 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, until the procession will leave for church.
Interment will follow in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville
