Obituary for Alice C. Joyce
Alice C. Joyce, 92, of San Antonio, Texas and formerly of Pottsville, passed away on October 13th in her residence.
Born on December 17, 1923, in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Christine (Kuss) and John W. Joyce.
Alice worked for Civil Services for 38 years at Olmstead, AFB, Middletown, PA and Kelly AFB, Texas. She was a volunteer at Human Hospital and Oasis, San Antonio, TX for 20 years.
She traveled throughout the U.S. and abroad, including about 20 cruises. Alice was blessed with many good friends in PA and TX. She was a member of Oasis, Narfe, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Catholic War Veteran’s Auxiliary, Pottsville.
Alice wanted to thank all her friends that always helped her and her special friend, John E. Carlson that did everything for her during her entire illness, along with Dr. Gomez, and the medical personnel, including Home Health Care and Hospice.
In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by a sister, Sara Joyce Molin and brother, John “Jack” Joyce.
Alice is survived by several nieces and nephews and many cousins.

Funeral services were held at St. Paul Catholic Church, San Antonio, TX.
Committal service will be held on Tuesday, November 15th at 10:00a.m. graveside in St. Patrick Cemetery #3, North Centre St., Pottsville.
